How to Get Access to CAE Library

When you are preparing for CAE, you have lots of questions. You have to google a lot, look for practical information, instructions and guides. And not always do you find what you were expecting to find. Or some time might pass before you come across what you actually need.

Wouldn’t it be nice, if there were some sort of catalogue for CAE preparation? With only essential and practical materials collected? So that you could save a lot of time (and probably money) preparing for the test?

With time as a result of my and later my students’ preparation for CAE a good amount of CAE materials have been collected and created. And the last step was to arrange those in a way that would make it easier for anyone to get a complete picture of this test preparation and do what really needs to be done without random or unnecessary actions.

This is how CAE Library was launched. I’ll talk about it in details in a minute.

As a result, you save some time. And some money which you would spend on teachers. Because with teachers you oftentimes take many more lessons than needed asking them a lot of questions, forgetting the answers and then asking them again, and in the lessons practising things which you could practice yourself at home.

And, ironically, you don’t put in enough effort at home. Because having a teacher makes you feel less responsible. It’s a psychological trap most students fall into. You have to keep reminding yourself that you are 100% responsible for your result. And your home is the place where you really learn, where you really progress, not lessons.

And by saying ‘home’ I don’t only mean your actual home. To be more precise, you learn outside the classroom, not inside.

More lessons are, obviously, good for teachers since it provides them with more work and, consequently, more income. But not really good for you because too much time and money are spent which otherwise could’ve been saved.

The best idea is to have a library and choose between 2 options:

1)Preparing for CAE yourself using CAE library + having a speaking partner to practise the Speaking part with.
3)Preparing for CAE yourself using CAE library + having a teacher to practise the Speaking part with (if you don’t want to spend time looking for a serious speaking partner).

And I would add that in any of these options you should practise the Speaking part by yourself as well to have the best result in the end.

Also, you can have both a teacher and a speaking partner.

And you don’t have to have lessons with a teacher for months or years. You can have a short course for you to just:

Get feedback, get your writings checked and corrected, get helped with the Speaking part and some subtle and difficult moments clarified if you didn’t manage to do it yourself. That’s all. Everything else you are able to do yourself.
